#Beastmode Blog Hop

Hello! The Reverse Confetti DT has teamed up today with Jennifer McGuire to have a blog hop in honor of our fearless leader, Jen del Muro. :) Hopefully you've reached my blog by way of Audrey's blog, but if you'd like to start at the beginning, please follow the link to head on over to Susan's blog.

For anyone visiting today who isn't familiar with Jen's story, here's a little background:

Jen was diagnosed with breast cancer toward the end of last year. She's been dealt a pretty bad hand as far as the treatment for her type of aggressive cancer, but the prognosis is good. This year will be quite the journey and battle, but she is a strong and very motivated woman. She's done lots of reading up on how she can take on a positive role in fighting her cancer from all angles, including diet and exercise. With only a couple of treatments under her belt so far, she is looking and feeling good, and plans to keep it that way! Her mantra has become a viral hashtag among her friends and crafty peers - #beastmode - and it totally fits Jen's personality! We love her!

I've been fortunate to a part of the Reverse Confetti DT since the beginning, and it goes without saying that I am a huge fan of Jen's! :) She is one of the kindest and most generous people I've had the pleasure to design for, she's truly a beautiful person inside and out.  Jen gives everything 100%, and I'm sure this will be no different! ♥♥♥ You've got this, girlie!!! ♥♥♥ My heart and prayers are with you, always.

Here's a quick run down of my card... I started by adding a piece of dark coral CS to a white card base, then topped it with a die cut from white CS using the Big Stripes Cover Panel.  Next, I used the Lacy Scallop Frame on white CS, then stamped it with one of the sentiments from You're So.  I then stamped the flowers and leaves from Blooms 'n Buds, and cut them out with their coordinating dies.  I cut a banner strip from gray CS, and topped it with a sentiment die cut from the You're So Confetti Cuts.  To finish up, I die cut two outline leaves using the Wheat CCs on yellow CS, then assembled the banner and flowers grouping before embellishing with coral enamel dots.

Thanks for hopping along with us today... Next up is Amy's blog.

Have a great one!

Lawn Fawn Blog Hop - Be My Valentine

Hello! CardMaker Magazine has teamed up today with Lawn Fawn for a fun blog hop showcasing their products. :) Hopefully you've reached my blog by way of Kat Benjamin's blog, but if you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop, click HERE.

To create my card, I started by first stamping the adorable octopus image from Octopi My Heart in Versafine black ink onto watercolor paper, then heat setting it with clear embossing powder.  I then did the same thing with the coordinating itty bitty bow and the largest heart from the set.  Once I had all my images heat embossed, I colored them with Zig Clean Color watercolor markers.

While I was waiting for the images to dry, I cut a large strip of black and white houndstooth patterned paper, and adhered it to a light gray card base using foam tape.  Next, I die cut a piece of yellow cardstock using the Be My Valentine Border die, and adhered it to the card front.  Once the stamped images were dry, I fussy cut them out (though coordinating dies are available) and adhered them to the card front with foam tape.  Quick, easy, and super cute! :)

Thanks for stopping by today, next up on the hop is Stephanie Gold's blog. (To see the full list of today's participants, please click HERE.)

Have a great one!

RC Blog Hop - XOXO

Hello! It's the 8th of the month, which means it's Reverse Confetti blog hop time! :) Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I thought it'd be fun to create a little treat and tag combo.  My daughter is obsessed with cats, so I used just about every Confetti Cut known to man to create this little critter! :) Haha... Okay, so I didn't really use *that* many, but I did end up using about 8 different dies to create the kitty for my tag. :)

To create my tag, I first started by die cutting my tag base using the Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts on coral CS, then topping it with a piece of gray CS die cut with the Big Stripes Tag Layer Confetti Cuts.  I then used the Hang Ups Too Confetti Cuts on a piece of white CS and adhered the die cut to the tag base.  Next, I used the XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts on white, pink and fuchsia CS to create the heart strip and XOXO sentiment.  The heart strip was attached to the tag front leaving a little room on the left edge to adhere the sentiment.  Once both pieces were attached to the tag, I then went back and glued in all the little white hearts.

Next up, my kitty. :) The cat body was created using the Hanging Out Confetti Cuts on a piece of dark gray textured CS.  I then used the Double Panel Circles Confetti Cuts on light pink CS, trimmed off the top and bottom of the die cut, then adhered it to the cat base to create a collar.  The bow was then die cut using the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts on fuchsia CS and adhered to the cat.  Next, I started working on die cutting all the pieces for the cat's body and face.  The whiskers were die cut using the Office Edges Confetti Cuts on white CS.  The cat's nose was created by die cutting a heart using the Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts on coral CS.  The ears were then created using the leaf die from the Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts on gray and fuchsia CS and adhering the pieces together.  The eyes were created by die cutting the smaller open circle from the Tag Me Confetti Cuts set on black CS.  The furry accent pieces were created using the pumpkin's eyes from the Halloween Bits Confetti Cuts set on light gray CS.  Once all the pieces were die cut, I then assembled them together using adhesive.  To finish up, the cat die cut was adhered to the tag front using foam tape, then attached to the small chocolate gift using a coral satin bow.

Whew! A lot of little steps to create that kitty, but it's so worth it because I just *know* my kiddo is going to love it. :)

Thanks for stopping by today, here's the full list of today's hop participants if you'd like to check out their awesome projects:

W&W January/February Release - Precious Baby

Hello! It's the final day of previews for the January/February Winnie & Walter Release, and I hope you've been enjoying the products we've been showing thus far.  All the items we've been sharing will be available for purchase on Friday, February 3rd at 10pm.  I have been on a bit of a neutrals plus a punch of color kick lately, and today's card is no exception.  I also decided that giraffes don't need to be their normal color, they can be gray and have coral spots.  Yes, yes, they can. :) Haha

To create my CAS card, I started by first adding two strips of varying width gray cardstock to the bottom of a white card base.  I then stamped this uber cute giraffe from the Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs stamp set in Versafine black ink, then heat set it with clear embossing powder before coloring it with Zig Clean Color markers.

Next, I die cut the B A B Y letters from coral cardstock using the Typecast: Cary Letters Cutaways, then adhered them to the card front.  I then used the In a Word: Precious Script Cutaway on a strip of silver foil cardstock, and adhered the die cut to the card front slightly overlapping the other die cut letters.  Once the giraffe was dry, I cut it out using the Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs Cutaways, and adhered it to the card base with foam tape.  To finish up, I embellished with orange enamel dots.

W&W January/February Release - Sending Hugs

Hello! We're back again with another day of fun previews for the January/February Winnie & Walter Release.

To create my card, I started by first die cutting a piece of blue textured cardstock with the Lana Cutaways.  I then stamped a piece of white cardstock with two of the striped stamps from Scenery: Stripes 2 in black and teal ink.  Next, I stamped the uber adorable polar bear image from Big Hugs with Evelin T Designs in Versafine black ink, then heat set it with clear embossing powder.  I then die cut the image using the coordinating die and colored the image with Zig Clean Color markers.  To add a little bit of texture to the focal panel, I used embossing paste and the Scenery: Big Bang Circle Creative Screenings stencil.

Once the image was dry, I adhered it to the stamped panel using foam tape.  One of the speech bubbles from Sketchy Thoughts was stamped in light gray ink, die cut, then stamped with a sentiment in black ink before being attached to the main panel with foam tape.  To finish up, I assembled my card, then embellished with light teal enamel dots.

W&W January/February Release - Thanks

Hello! It's the second day of previews for the January/February Winnie & Walter Release, and today I'm featuring a card made using From the Bottom of My Heart (free with qualifying $25 purchase), Mini Scenery: Bed of Roses, and the Essentials: Lana Cutaways.

To create my card, I started by first die cutting a super fun yellow mat layer using the Essentials: Lana Cutaways.  I then stamped the Mini Scenery: Bed of Roses image twice in black ink onto a piece of white CS, and cut it down to fit nicely onto the yellow layer.  Since I was combining two small images to create a larger image that could cover a bigger piece of cardstock, to hide my seam I added a small strip of gray cardstock.  Lol, yes, I'm a cheater! :)

Next, I stamped the large heart from From the Bottom of My Heart in black ink and fussy cut it out once the ink had dried fully.  I then adhered the stamped rose panel to the yellow mat, and adhered the panels to the card front with foam tape before securing the heart with foam tape.  To finish up, I embellished with some cheery yellow enamel dots.

February SFYTT - Sending You Love

Hello! It's the 1st of the month, which means it's time for a new Reverse Confetti sketch challenge (SFYTT).  This month's sketch was really CAS, and I think it will lend itself to many different interpretations.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! :)

To create my card, I started with a Stone card base, then topped it with a piece of Cloud White cardstock that had been die cut with the Linked Circles Confetti Cuts.  I then used the Tall Stripe Panel Confetti Cuts on a piece of Cloud White cardstock and adhered the die cut to a piece of teal textured cardstock.

Next, I used the Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti Cuts on teal textured cardstock, and the largest circle from the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts on Stone cardstock.  The sentiment from Crazy About You was stamped in black ink onto the gray die cut circle before adhering it to the scallop die cut with foam tape.  The circle panel was then adhered to the strip panel layer with foam tape, and attached to the card front with yet more foam tape (are you seeing a trend here? lol).  To finish up, I die cut two hearts using the XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts dies, foam taped them together, then attached them to the card front with more foam before embellishing with aqua enamel dots.

Want to play along with us this month and be entered to win a gift certificate to the RC store? Please see the Reverse Confetti blog for full details! :)

W&W January/February Release - Welcome Sweet Baby

Hello! It's the first day of previews for the new Winnie & Walter release, and today my card is showcasing the new The Big, the Bold and Baby (and Cutaways), Scenery: Stripes 2, and In a Word: Baby Cutaway die.

To create my card, I started by first creating my stamped background using one of the stamps in the Scenery: Stripes 2 stamp set and stamping it in black ink.  Next, I stamped several of the flowers from In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet in black and coral ink, then cutting them out.  I then stamped one of the leaves from a Tree For All Seasons with black and gray inks, then cut them out.  The flowers and leaves were then adhered behind a strip of light gray cardstock.

I then die cut my focal sentiments using The Big, the Bold and Baby Cutaways on coral cardstock, and then the In a Word: Baby Cutaway on silver foil carstock.  Next, I stamped one of the small sentiments from the Big, the Bold and Baby in Versamark onto black cardstock before heat setting it with white embossing powder.  To finish up, I assembled all the elements, and adhered them to the card front with foam tape before embellishing with white enamel dots.
